Web Developer

Catalina Software are a leading logistics software provider of innovative solutions on app, web and desktop, all delivered by our in-house team of talented developers. We have been established in the marketplace for 23 years and our focus is on providing a professional and response service to customers. We are looking for a talented and creative web developer to join our team. You need to be flexible, innovative and have a strong eye for design and presentation.

Required skills:

  • Node JS
  • Javascript & Typescript
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Knowledge of Cordova an advantage

Our team works remotely, so you need to be a self-starter and set up to work from home. We meet ‘virtually’ every day so you can be assured of a strong team spirit and lots of support. In the current climate it’s difficult to meet up and socialise, but in ‘normal times’ we get together for meetings and social events and we look forward to being able to do that again.

We offer a company pension, generous holidays and a flexible approach.

Salary: £25 – £35K

Commercial Account Manager

1 year contract with potential for permanent role.

In this role you will be liaising with our corporate customers, promoting what we do, and providing a listening ear to identify how we can help them. You will then take decisive action including resolving any contractual issues.

We very much work in partnership with our customers and you will thrive as a dynamic, articulate and commercially astute individual who will go the extra mile and identify growth opportunities.

This role would suit someone with proven technical/B2B account management experience and plenty of enthusiasm. Someone who is able to prioritise tasks and produce accurate proposals and innovative commercial agreements. You will need a genuine passion for working in partnership with customers delivering great service and excellent communication, as well has having experience of technical sales. Proactive, positive and proud to work for a front-runner in the industry.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships. Provide updates to customers on their individual accounts, and also company news, product developments and industry updates.
  • Prepare sales and product presentations, demos and sales documentation.
  • Take responsibility for  marketing and social media activity and budgets.
  • Liaise internally to ensure proactive responses to customers and provide input on future project direction based on customer feedback.
  • Predominantly home working, but available to travel throughout the UK.
  • Attend industry networking events, webinars and conferences as required.

Salary: £35 – £45K

  • Excellent problem-solving skills that you are able to adapt to any situation
  • A drive to own and manage your work to completion
  • Ability to manage deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A good understanding of development principles
  • Comprehensive knowledge of at least one modern development technology i.e. C#, Node, JavaScript (Typescript) etc.
  • Good team player

It would be a bonus (but not essential) to have knowledge in:

  • AWS infrastructures
  • Docker or similar container technology
  • Git
