Software Developer/Engineer
Due to exciting new projects lined up for the coming months we are looking to add another skilled developer to our team!

We are looking for a creative and experienced software developer to join our team. We are on a fast-paced, exciting journey to deliver first class solutions to our customers focusing on cloud solutions with a mobile first mindset. To be successful in this role you will need to be driven, innovative and willing to contribute. Our fully remote status requires all members of the team to be self-starters and be diligent in their approach.
Required Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
- 3yrs + of software development/engineering
- Agile development experience or equivalent in fast-paced development environment
- Strong core Web UI HTML based frameworks (Vue, React, Angular) experience is required
- Commercial experience in using Node.js for server-side components (RESTful APIs)
- Knowledge and experience in containerised deployment (Docker)
- Relational database data modelling and querying of large data sets (preferably Oracle)
- Independently deliver and where necessary lead all activities throughout the end-to-end project life cycle, covering Design, Build, Testing, UAT, and Go Live Support
Beneficial Experience:
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Developing and designing user interfaces

Here at Catalina Software we are always interested to hear from enthusiastic and talented developers, who enjoy a challenge and are motivated to achieve excellence for the end-user, just like us!
We develop and deliver a variety of solutions which could be desktop applications, cloud-hosted products, client websites or mobile apps. Of course, every developer has their area of expertise and here at Catalina we encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing to help our team upskill and learn new things. We take pride in nurturing talent and helping individuals achieve and progress.
As a fully remote organisation we need team members who are confident to work alone, and with limited supervision. That said, we offer full product training and there are daily team meetings designed to keep everyone up to speed with developments and progress on projects. Communication is key, and we encourage every member of the team to contribute.
If you have the following skills, then we’d love to hear from you:
- Comprehensive knowledge of at least one modern development technology i.e. Node.js, JavaScript (Typescript), C# etc. applied within a commercial environment
- At least 2 years development experience within a workplace
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach
- A drive to own and manage your work to completion
- Ability to manage deadlines
- A keen eye for detail
- A good understanding of development principles
- Good team player
- Access to a home working environment
It would be a bonus (but not essential) to have knowledge in:
- AWS infrastructures
- Docker or similar container technology
- Git
